Check it our game day. One of our favorite snacks during game day is the Spicy Fried Pickles. If you’re not going with a burger, order the Lucky Club (A Texas sized triple-decker loaded with mesquite smoked turkey, hickory bacon, pepper jack, ham, Swiss, lettuce and tomato).

Why: The extensive menu, relaxed environment and large patio are all reasons that we love catching sports at Pub Fiction. If you’re looking for an experience outside of the usual sports bar, definitely check out Pub Fiction. You’ve got to share the Ultimate Nachos (Refried Beans, Three Cheeses, Grilled Salsa, Pub Pickled Jalapenos. You can add grilled chicken or skirt steak). The Kung “Pow” Chicken Salad (Glazed Chicken Breast, Asian Vegetables, Won Ton, Shaved Jalapeno and Lime) is a fan favorite. The Baja Fish Tacos (Corn Flake Crusted, Cilantro Slaw, Grilled Salsa, Guacamole and Lime) are another popular item here.

Why: If you’re living in The Heights area, watch the game at Beer Market Co. It is a quirky little spot with hundreds of beers, yummy bar bites and a relaxed atmosphere. Since you’re going for sports you need to get the Beer Market Wings and the Fried Mac’ N Cheese Bites (creamy mac ‘n cheese deep fried to golden perfection, served with spicy tomato sauce). The Patty Melt (our signature 1/2 lb. patty, grilled onions, mushrooms, melted Swiss cheese on Texas toast) is another favorite menu item.
Where: 1100 Westheimer Rd Houston, TX 77006
Why: Get your football on while enjoying delicious craft beers and good old comfort food. The Hay Merchant is a Houston favorite and a great place to watch the playoffs with friends or family. We can’t get enough of the Pozole Fries (Fries topped with braised pork pozole sauce and cheese curds served with cabbage, radishes, pickled jalapenos, onions, and pickled hominy). The Chili Dog (44 Farms jalapeno cheddar dog topped with cheese, chili and jalapeno served with chips) is also crazy good.

Why: The Public House is a traditional tavern great for football watching! They have casual pub eats, beer, a full bar and games to play with your friends. While they are a Irish pub, they do show the NFL games. We love the Beer Braised Pork Sandwich (pecan smoked pork, sourdough roll, onion, pickle, sriracha aioli). The Pulled Pork Nachos (beer braised pork, beer cheese, salsa, sour cream, tomato, jalapeno) are another favorite.
