Why: Dish Society is a hip spot serving up new American fare and is a favorite destination for brunch in Katy. Plus their large patio is dog friendly! There are also drink and food specials during social hour on weekdays. It is a fun, modern restaurant that is perfect for gathering friends for drinks after work or brunch on the weekend.
Must Try: For lunch we love the Brisket Stuffed Sweet Potato: baked sweet potato stuffed with Texas grass fed brisket, green onions, cheddar, & house BBQ sauce with cabbage slaw. The BLT is also a great choice – it comes with: all natural bacon, mixed greens, sliced tomato, over easy open range egg, & garlic aioli on toasted whole grain. For brunch we’re all about the Southwest Scramble: open range scrambled eggs, bell peppers, avocado, black beans, rosemary sweet potatoes, house roasted corn pico, cotija cheese, & tortilla strip. If you’ve got a sweet tooth go for the Nutella French Toast.

Why: Midpoint Bar + Eatery is a warm, vibrant hangout with a patio offering elevated American pub fare, plus craft beer & cocktails.It’s a hidden little spot in Katy and it is one of our top picks for happy hour in town.
Must Try: If you’re snacking during happy hour with friends, go for the Truffle Oil Fries and the Margherita Flatbread. Our go to entrée is the Gyro Wrap, it is awesome. Be sure to check out the cocktail menu for specialty drinks like the Lemmon Blossom (Absolut Citron Vodka, St. Germain Liqeur, Grand Marnier & lemon juice) or a classic Dark and Stormy (Kraken Black Spiced Rum with ginger beer).

3. Seafood on the Geaux

Why: This down home casual spot is serving up incredible Cajun Seafood dishes. Locals can’t get enough and you can even bring your dog!They have a drive-thru for quick seafood on the go. Despite being fast, casual food, it really is incredible eat and delivers true creole flavor.
Must Try: We love the Fried Shrimp Po’Boy – it is so good! During crawfish season we love coming here on the way home from work for a big old serving of crawfish. The Fried Catfish Dinner is solid as well.

4. No Label Brewing Company

Why: No Label Brewing Company is a casual fun, family friend, dog friendly brewery in Katy Texas. They offer tours and tasting events at the brewery for interest parties. Head over on Saturday afternoons from 12pm – 3pm and it is a big backyard party.
Must Try: They have some fun seasonal brews like the Don Jalapeno Ale as well as their standard beers like the 1st Street Ale and the Ridgeback Ale. If you’re a beer drinker, you need to check out No Label. Food Trucks come to the brewery on weekends so check the schedule to see who is going to be there.

5. Baker St. Pub & Grill

Why: This cozy spot will transport you to England and you can bring your dog! It is a fun pub and grill with good food, good beer and a nice patio. Sit outside with friends during happy hour, play a game of pool or watch some sports.
Must Try: We love the Loaded Chicken Nachos (Tostada-style with grilled, diced chicken breast, refried beans, jalapeños and monterey jack and cheddar cheese. Served with fresh salsa and sour cream). The Baker Street Reuben (Sliced corned beef with sauerkraut, swiss cheese and thousand island dressing served on toasted rye bread) is another favorite of ours. Since it is a British Pub you should try the Fish & Chips or Bangers & Mash.
