Tomball German Heritage Festival 2016

What: The Tomball German Heritage Festival celebrates the culture and history of Germans in Texas. Filled with traditional games, foods, drinks and folk music, the festival is one of the most unique celebrations of German-American heritage. It features over 200 vendors of Germanic art, crafts, food, beer and wine. For children, the festival hosts pony rides, a petting zoo and special kid-friendly musical theater performances. Throughout each day of the festival, German, Czech and Scandinavian folk dancers and musicians perform for festivalgoers. Vendors come decked out in lederhosen and dirndls, and festivalgoers are encouraged to get in the spirit and wear traditional German attire as well.
The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival
When: April 2, 2016
Where: Town Green Park (2099 Lake Robbins Dr)
What: The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival was created as a community partnership between the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the community’s love for locally raised and caught crawfish while supporting cure research for pulmonary hypertension.
Hermann Park Kite Festival
When: April 2, 2016

What: The Hermann Park Kite Festival is a family-friendly feast of fun with kites of all shapes, sizes and colors sailing in the sky on Miller Hill and around the Jones Reflection Pool in Houston. A special aerial show featuring acrobatic kite flying is one of the main attractions at the event, which also features puppeteers, magicians, jugglers and ribbon dancers just to name a few. A kite-flying contest gives die-hard and recreational kiters an opportunity to win a medal in one of several categories, and a Kids Zone offers youth-oriented arts and crafts.
Sugar Land Food and Wine Affiar 2016

Houston Art Car Parade

What: The Houston Art Car Parade is the largest of its kind in the world. Participants from all over America show off their creatively modified cars, bikes and motorized vehicles at this annual event. Every year, winning Art Cars are selected in categories such as performance, lowriders and contraption with the awarding of one grand prize winner. Rock the River BBQ Competition

What: The Rock the River BBQ Competition is a serious cooking competition for pitmasters, by pitmasters in Houston, Texas. This family-friendly event takes place along banks of the scenic San Jacinto River and awards winners for the best Brisket, Ribs and Chicken.
Galveston Country Fair & Rodeo
