1. Spend the day at the Houston Museum District

Housed inside of the Houston Museum of Natural Science, The Cockrell Butterfly Center provides visitors with an up close experience to beautiful butterflies from around the world. 7. Tour a local distillery

Take a tour of Yellow Rose Distilling, the first legal distillery within Houston’s city limits. Adjacent to Uptown and Memorial Park, the 10,000-square-foot facility features a tasting room and all of the equipment it takes to make whiskeys and vodka.
