Candlelight Park

The Candlelight Park area includes Shepherd Park and nearby neighborhoods from West 43rd Street and both sides of Ella Boulevard. The dazzling displays include huge archways of colorful lights that extend overhead over the streets as you drive through them. Large inflatables of Christmas decorations can be seen on the sides of the streets to thrill children. This area has many historical homes that have hosted holiday light displays throughout the years.

The zoo is transformed into a winter wonderland filled with snow, Christmas lights while holiday music fills the air with well-known tunes. The highlight of Christmas Katy is the synchronized lights display. This magnificent display starts on November the first to assembly and tweak all of the components for a great light show. The shows begin on Thanksgiving night with a total of 17 songs playing in sequence to the lights that are individually programmed.

There is a 32-foot Mega Tree in the display in addition to a second red and green tree. You can gaze on the lights and sounds of Christmas with utter disbelief if you and your family have never experienced this type of Houston holiday events.
