The dog-days of summer are upon us. As the warmer weather forces us inside it’s easy to run out of ideas for things to do, without working up a sweat outdoors. Stay cool, and busy, this summer with these five Humble-area activities.
1. Jump around at Urban Air
Where: 19304 Hwy 59 N
This indoor trampoline park has dodgeball courts, a tumble track, play areas for small kids, a warrior obstacle course, a tubes course and drop zone for kids and guests of all ages to enjoy. Kids will love jumping into a pool of foam blocks and parents will love the cool indoor air. Adults and kids can jump for an hour for just $13, or about $20 gets guests 2.5 hours of fun.
2. Experience a puzzle room
Where: 11501 N Sam Houston Pkwy
Visitors are given 60 minutes to figure out how to escape it, at Houston’s destination puzzle and escape rooms. Game moderators give guests just a few clues on how to escape and the rest is up for you. Whether you bring your entire family, or a date, this indoor summer-friendly activity will liven up otherwise boring dog-days-of summer days.
3. Visit the Humble Museum
Where: 219 E Main St
This city museum, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016, is dedicated to the preservation of Texas history. The museum includes the stories, photos and artifacts from the surrounding region. There is no charge to enter the museum and it regularly hosts series and speakers. 4. Play bar games at The Hop Spot
Where: 802 1st St
Fine craft beer awaits you at The Hop Stop, Lake Houston’s local brewery. Stop in for noshes and bites and pair your meal with a locally-brewed beer. The Humble brewery hosts local musicians and has a patio that is hangout-friendly. Craft beer lovers can even get a growler of beer to go.
5. Find a treasure at the Texas Vintage Festival
Where: 8233 William Clayton Pkwy
The Texas Vintage Festival is taking over Humble in July. Whether you are searching for antiques and vintage items or just something unique you’re sure to find what you’re looking for at this multi-day fest. Ticket information can be found online via Eventbrite.
